Airport Funding Secured for North Dakota
The largest federal grants will go to Fargo and Bismarck.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded about $31 million to airports across North Dakota.
The largest chunk of that allocation – $13.4 million – will go towards the terminal expansion and other construction projects at Hector International Airport in Fargo.
Next in terms of monetary value is $10.3 million to rehabilitate taxiways and runways, reconstruct lighting and construct safety areas at Bismarck Municipal Airport.
All other grants are $1.3 million dollars or less, and they cover basic repairs at municipal airports in locations such as Cooperstown and Watford City.
“These federal investments in North Dakota’s airports are vital to supporting our state’s economic growth and improving connectivity for communities across our state,” said Senator John Hoeven.
