Opening Day for the Red River Market
The market runs from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. and attracts thousands of attendees.
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Red River Market has returned to downtown Fargo for its eleventh iteration.
It kicked off on July 12 at 10 A.M., and will continue every Saturday from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. until October 25.
The market features fresh grown food, products from local businesses and organizations, as well as live music and activities for all ages.
It’s organized by Folkways, and Folkways staff says that the first market of the season always has a special feel to it.
“I feel like the opening day of the Red River Market is almost like an all-town reunion,” said Joe Burgum, executive director of Folkways.
“You see people you haven’t seen for a couple of months, you get to come out and enjoy the beautiful weather and chat with people. And it is just that spirit of community that makes Fargo-Moorhead such a great place to live.”
There is one exception to the every Saturday rule – next week, the market will be on Sunday, July 20, due to the downtown street fair.
