4e Winery Celebrates Ten Years in Business

MAPLETON, N.D. (KVRR) – A local winery spent a long weekend celebrating ten years in business.
4e Winery in Mapleton opened its doors for the first time on July 11, 2015.
Ten years later, they marked the occasion with a weekend celebration.
There was a Trivia Night on Thursday, a guided birding session on Friday, and live blues music on Sunday, July 13.
The owners of 4e said that one of the things that keeps them excited about the business is the opportunity to spread North Dakota culture.
“We like to share the history of this historic farmstead – we are actually on one of the original Bonanza farms – so we like to share a lot of that history with people, especially people who are coming in from out of the area,” said co-owner Lisa Cook.
“Being on I-94, we get a lot of visitors, people who are traveling in – so being able to share a little of North Dakota with them is super gratifying.”
Lisa added that it’s fun to educate people on the specific grapes they grow at 4e, because many people aren’t aware that there are some species that thrive in our environment.
