Moorhead man dies after suffering medical emergency on Pelican Lake

OTTER TAIL COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR) — A Moorhead man is dead after suffering a medical emergency on Pelican Lake over the weekend.

Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says it happened Saturday before 4 p.m. in Northwestern Otter Tail County.

The 61-year-old man was pulling an anchor from a boat when he went into the water unresponsive.

He was pulled from the water and CPR was performed before being taken to Essentia Hospital in Detroit Lakes.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
