Sparklight Gives $5,000 Grant To West Fargo Eats

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — There’s some good news for a local group that works to fight hunger.

Sparklight presented a $5,000 check to West Fargo Eats.

The partnership between Lutheran Church of the Cross, Gate City Bank, YWCA Cass Clay, and Great Plains Food Bank offers a unique shopping and drive-thru style experience for clients.

The director says the money is a “blessing” and says it could not have arrived at a better time.

“There were some moments there when the freezers were not nearly as full and stuff like that, so lovely, generous grants like this are going to make a huge difference. We also have partnered up with some senior housing in town here, in Fargo,” said Chelsie Bormann, West Fargo Eats director.

Over the past 25 years, Sparklight has awarded more than $1 million in grants to more than 250 nonprofits.
