State Senator Nicole Mitchell testifies in her burglary trial

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KVRR) – Minnesota State Sen. Nicole Mitchell has taken the witness stand as her trial continues in Detroit Lakes.

The Woodbury Democrat is accused of breaking into her stepmother’s home in Detroit Lakes in 2024.

Prosecutors rested their case on Wednesday. The defense will continue its case on Thursday.
