National Ice Cream Day Celebrated by Humans, Animals Alike
Many treat-based establishments in the Fargo-Moorhead area offered special promotions.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – It’s National Ice Cream Day, and businesses in the F-M metro are celebrating.
Scoop n Dough Candy Company in Fargo saw a steady stream of traffic all day.
They’re rolling out new merchandise to mark the occasion and say that the enthusiasm from customers was palpable.
“It’s hot out, so it’s a wonderful day to enjoy some ice cream,” said Brea Boroski of Scoop n Dough.
But it wasn’t just humans that got to partake in the fun.
Three Dog Bakery in West Fargo made sure to have sweet treats for the pups, as well.
All dogs are lactose intolerant to some degree, so it wasn’t milk-based “ice cream” that was offered.
The bakery went out of its way to make sure it was dog-friendly.
“We mixed a lot of our most popular flavors in the bakery with Greek yogurt and a little bit of honey,” said Megan Bergseth, owner of Three Dog. “The scoop sizes that we do are just that right amount that won’t upset a dog’s stomach. Everything else we put in here too is with the mindset of things that are friendly for dogs.”
