Sandi Piatz Named New CEO of United Way of Cass-Clay

The local businesswoman and community figure has lived in Fargo with her family since 1998.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Sandi Piatz is a North Dakota native and has resided in Fargo with her family since before the turn of the century.

She’s felt a deep connection to the area and has had ties to the United Way that stretch back many years, so when she was approached about the possibility of filling their vacant CEO position, she says she was instantly intrigued.

Ultimately, the chance to serve in a prominent capacity for such an organization was too appealing of an opportunity to decline.

“It really struck me as such a great opportunity to pull my passion for service in the community and bring my business and innovation leadership background together,” she said.

Sandi has spent the time since then getting to know the United Way team and formulate a plan of action for when she assumes the role.

The immediate focus is the ongoing School Supply Drive, collecting much-needed school supplies for area students, but Sandi is also looking to the future, wanting to see how she can push the United Way forward.

She begins that journey on August 25.
