DirecTV subscribers lose access to KVRR amid contract dispute

FARGO (KVRR) – KVRR is working hard to reach a new agreement with DirectTV Network so that DirecTV can once again provide KVRR to its subscribers. DirecTV and KVRR came to an impasse negotiating the renewal that would allow DirecTV Network to retransmit the station’s signal.

As a result, KVRR is no longer being carried by DirecTV as of July 17, 2025.

DirecTV was granted numerous extensions in the hopes of coming to a fair agreement.

KVRR is a small TV broadcaster, one of the few left. DirecTV Network is a multi-billion-dollar company.

While we had hoped to conclude a new agreement without disruption, DirecTV has continued to insist on new terms and conditions that on a whole in the current economic environment are less favorable than the previous agreement, while seeking to pay fees that are substantially below market rates. We believe DirecTV has been neither fair nor reasonable and has been using its size to attempt to force us into a bad agreement. Market-based rates are critical to us to be able to deliver the top-quality programming you have come to expect.

Please understand that KVRR continues to remain available over the air via an antenna. You can determine the type of antenna needed at https://www.antennaweb.org/antenna-info.

In addition, KVRR is available via cable from your local providers and via satellite from DISH Network and streaming from FUBO, Hulu + LIVE TV, and YouTube TV.

Thank you for your patience and continued support.
