Fatal Crash in Ward County

Even though the driver was wearing their seatbelt, the impact of the crash still proved fatal.

WARD COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR) – A 21-year-old man from Minot is dead after a single-vehicle crash in the early morning hours of August 2.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, at approximately 2:57 A.M., a 2021 Tesla Model Y was traveling northbound on the US Highway 83 Bypass near the 4th Avenue NW overpass in Minot.

The vehicle, traveling at a high rate of speed, left the road and crashed. It has been listed as a “rollover” by the NDHP.

The man died as a result of his injuries, and the crash is still under investigation by the highway patrol.
