Police seeking suspect in fatal downtown Fargo shooting

FARGO (KVRR) – Fargo police have identified a suspect who is being sought in connection with a downtown shooting Sunday morning that killed one person and injured two others.
Police are seeking the public’s help in locating 20-year-old Tyrque Jones.
If you see jones, do not approach or attempt to apprehend him. Instead, call police immediately and provide as much detail as possible, including location, direction of travel, clothing description, or anyone he may be with.

Police were called to the 50-block of Broadway on a report of gunshots fired shortly before 2:00 a.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a large crowd of people outside. Due to the size of the crowd, mutual aid was requested from several area law enforcement agencies.
One person was dead at the scene. A second victim was in critical condition. A third victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
About a half-hour later, at 2:26 a.m., police were called to another report of gunshots in the 4700-block of 16th Ave. South, where they found one person dead at the scene.
Police say it’s not clear whether the shootings are related.
