Grand jury indicts Vance Boelter on First-degree murder charge, could face death penalty

MINNEAPOLIS (KVRR/FOX9) — Vance Boelter has been indicted by a grand jury on first-degree murder charges.
Since he faces federal murder charges, he could potentially be sentenced to the death penalty if convicted.
He is the accused of killing Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, while wounding another lawmaker and his wife in an alleged coordinated attack on June 14.
Boelter was indicted last month on six counts, including murder.
He has since entered a not guilty plea to all charges against him.
Boelter’s next court appearance is set for November 25 in federal court.
