FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – People gathered at Fargo AMVETS all day Saturday to try and raise as much money as possible for the Honor Flight.

It was a jam-packed day of entertainment.

There were burgers and brats, as well as impersonators of Elvis, Patsy Cline, and Conway Twitty.

Money was raised for the Honor Flight through silent auction items and the ability to sponsor a seat on the flight for ten dollars.

AMVETS says they do whatever they can to support the Flight.

“As a veterans’ organization, we do everything we can to help veterans,” said Mark Wagemann. “I’ve been on a flight as a wheelchair guide, and they’re awesome. It’s a really great tour for the veterans. Anyone that can sign up should sign up.”

Organizers said they hoped to raise 5 to 10 thousand dollars with the event.
