Shroud of Turin Replica Comes to Fargo
Special presentations on the history of the Shroud will be held at St. Mary's at 7 P.M. on Sunday and Monday.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – A replica of one of the most famous relics in the history of mankind is on display at St. Mary’s Cathedral in downtown Fargo.
This is an enhanced and enlarged version of the Shroud of Turin.
In the church’s basement, there is an extensive exhibit set up, with informative displays about the stations of the cross and the historical journey of the Shroud.
They are also hosting informative presentations and church officials and historians alike say the relic has a lot still to offer humanity.
“John Paul II talked about how the innocent suffer at times, and we see that in our world – it’s a reminder of all those things, and an invitation to prayer,” explained Monsignor Joseph Goering of the Fargo Diocese.
“I think that if people are Catholic, or non-Catholic or whatever – if they see this information, I believe that it will really touch their hearts and make them ponder this idea of God among us,” said Jim Bertrand, who is the one hosting the presentations.
The shroud exhibit will remain open for public viewing until next Sunday.
