Motorcycle, Pickup Truck Collide in Grand Forks

The driver of the motorcycle was seriously injured, while the pickup truck driver and their passenger suffered no injuries.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) – A 22-year-old is being treated at Altru in Grand Forks for serious, incapacitating injuries after a crash at the intersection of S. Columbia Road and 24th Ave. South.

The Grand Forks Police Department says that the accident occurred just after 9 P.M. on August 29. Their report indicates that the driver of a 2002 Toyota Tacoma was attempting to make a left turn to head eastbound when the 2023 Kawasaki ZX636 motorcycle struck the front of the Tacoma.

This incident caused disabling damage to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene.

The 22-year-old driver of the Kawasaki was taken to Altru for serious injuries. Neither the 19-year-old driver of the Tacoma nor their passenger were hurt in the crash.

Traffic was impacted for approximately 90 minutes while the crash was under investigation.
