Missing man found dead in Clay County

ROLLAG, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) – The search is over for a Pelican Rapids, Minnesota man who was reported missing by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says Richard Evenson was found dead southeast of Rollag on Monday. He’s not releasing any further details. Otter Tail County says there were no signs of a crime in Evenson’s death. He was last leaving his home Monday. Deputies from Clay and Otter Tail Countries conducted the search for Evenson.

A missing person alert had been issued for Evenson and the red Jeep he was driving.
