Fatal Crash in Emmons County
The 50-year-old driver struck a tree and died at the scene.
HAZELTON, N.D. (KVRR) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 50-year-old man from Menoken is dead after a single-vehicle crash on the evening of September 4.
The agency says that the man, driving a 2003 Pontiac Montana, failed to make a left turn at the intersection of 1st Avenue Southeast and 61st Street Southeast in Hazelton. The car struck a tree at approximately 8:00 P.M.
Despite emergency response, the driver died at the scene. It is unknown at this time whether or not he was wearing his seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
