Track official taken to hospital after ‘incident with race car’ during event in Fergus Falls

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) – A track official was taken to a hospital after what Wissota Auto Racing described as an ‘incident with a race car’ Wednesday night in Fergus Falls.

The incident happened during the Wissota 100 at I-94 EMR Speedway and racing was suspended for a short time. Details about what happened are scarce, and the organization says it is declining comment out of respect for the official’s family.

In a social media post, Wissota Auto Racing asked the public for thoughts and prayers for the track official, their family, and the racer involved.

The organization says it will provide an update when it has permission to do so.
