Teen dead after single-vehicle crash near Waubun, MN on Tuesday

WAUBUN, Minn. (KVRR) — Early Tuesday morning, 17-year-old Cash Tibbetts was found dead on 310th Street, northeast of Waubun, Minnesota.

Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene around 8:30 a.m. and found a pickup on its side.

They say Tibbetts was driving at a high rate of speed and lost control on a curve.

The Waubun teen was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash and was thrown from the pickup and died at the scene.
