Police investigating armed robbery, shooting in south Fargo

FARGO (KVRR/KFGO) – Police are investigating an armed robbery and shooting in south Fargo Wednesday night, and asking the public’s help in finding two suspects.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of 1st Avenue S. where a man was suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators identified Braden Poitra, 24, and Dennis Salinas Jr., 35, as suspects. There’s no word on whether the victim knows the suspects.

Police say Poitra and Salinas fled after the shooting in a dark-colored, four door sedan driven by another person. The sedan could be a 2006-2011 Honda Civic.

Poitra and Salinas are considered armed and dangerous.
