Federal grand jury indicts accused Fargo bank robber

FARGO (KVRR) – A federal grand jury has indicted a man accused of robbing a downtown Well Fargo Bank on August 1.
Sixty-six year-old Jay Douglas Barker appeared on Friday in U.S. District Court in Fargo.
Barker is charged with one count of felony bank robbery. State charges against Barker were earlier dismissed.
According to court documents, Barker has been ordered to forfeit $10,520.00 stolen during the robbery.
In 2017, Barker was arrested for another armed robbery at a bank in St. John. He robbed the Citizens Community Credit Union at gunpoint and was later arrested in Belcourt.
Barker will remain in federal custody until his trial.
