FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The largest craft show in North Dakota closed out its yearly run at the Fargodome in style on Saturday.

The Big One Art & Craft Fair opened its doors at 10:00 A.M. on October 17 and shut down by 5 in the afternoon on October 18.

Staff say there were over 200 vendors selling at the event, and they estimated over 10,000 people attended over the course of the two days.

There are many craft fairs in the F-M area – but The Big One says they differentiate themselves by setting standards for hand-made products.

“One of the requirements that we’ve made is that something has to be handmade, embellished in some way” explained Stacy Frank, promoter of The Big One. “They can’t just go buy something from wherever it is, put it on a shelf, and re-sell it. There has to be some form of embellishment, or they make the product, or they’re the patent owner, copyright – anything of that nature.”

The Big One will next stop in Minot, where the fair officially began 50 years ago.

They expect to have a large anniversary celebration there on November 7 and 8.
