Park Rapids man suffers serious injuries when demolition derby car falls on his head

PARKERS PRAIRIE, Minn. (KVRR-KFGO) – A 25-year-old Park Rapids man suffered serious injuries when a demolition derby car fell off a jack and onto his head early Saturday morning.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says Elijah Hensel was working underneath the car in a garage northeast of Parkers Prairie when it fell from the jack. People at the scene were able to lift the car off Hensel before first responders arrived.

Hensel was flown to a St. Cloud hospital to receive treatment.
