Nerdyween Combines Halloween With All Things Pop Culture

There were vendors, activities - and Superman even stopped by.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – One local hobby shop decided that they didn’t want to just hand out candy for Halloween.

So Paradox Comics-N-Cards hosted Nerdyween on Saturday!

All visitors got a free bag of comic books, in trick-or-treating style, and there were also Halloween-themed discounts on merchandise.

There were vendors outside, and costume contests taking place the entire day.

Paradox says they wanted to combine Halloween spirit with the ethos of comic collecting.

“We just wanted to make our own branded, nerdy, Halloween event. Everyone has Halloween, only nerds get Nerdyween,” explained store owner Rick Early.

“Paradox is your place to be whoever you want to be, so costumes are the perfect expression of that.”

Other activities included face painting, pumpkin carving, and costume making.
