West Fargo Man Arrested After Attempting to Flee from Police
The West Fargo Police Department says the man sped away when they attempted to perform a routine traffic stop.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – A West Fargo man was arrested after police say he tried to speed away from them when they attempted to perform a traffic stop.
The West Fargo Police Department says the incident occurred just after 3 P.M. on October 25. Officers to tried stop a vehicle near the 1600 block of 9th Street E. for a traffic violation.
The driver fled, and was eventually stopped after officers executed a PIT maneuver in the 1900 block of 9th Street E. He was not injured, and his vehicle was impounded.
The driver was later identified as 43-year-old Sheldon Ray Erickson of West Fargo. He has been charged with fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also given a ticket for speeding.
