MINNESOTA:
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Upsala-Swanville defeats Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 54-12 (Section 5A Championship)
Head Coach Jay Loven: “Told them last week before our game, I said, I don’t care what happens on the field, these guys make me proud. They’re my kids. So very happy. Very proud. Happy for them.”
- Breckenridge defeats Parkers Prairie 29-14 (Section 6A Championship)
Head Coach Carson Yaggie: “It just means everything to me, being fun Breck. I love Breck. I want Breck to be the top place in the world for football, and you know what, to be able to send these kids home this afternoon, the fire trucks and the big trophy. And couldn’t be more proud of them I couldn’t be happier.”
- Holdingford defeats Osakis 48-14 (Section 6AA Championship)
Senior QB Jaxon Bartkowicz: “I think our chemistry is a big a part of it. We all know eachother, we’re all friends, we hang out outside of school, so it’s kind of just trusting eachother. Especially on defense: doing our own jobs and not trying to do other people’s jobs. I think we are ready for anyone, so… we’ll go out there and play our game. If we play our game we can beat anyone.”
- Barnesville defeats Hawley 26-12 (Section 8AA Championship)
Senior RB Cameron Halverson: “Feels amazing. This is our moment to contribute to this 10-peat, but it is all the teams before us. It just feels amazing to be a part of something so big in the community, its amazing. We faced some adversity throughout the season, but the way we bounced back and continued to get better each and every day, I am super proud of this team.”
- Dilwoth-Glyndon-Felton defeats Thief River Falls 41-12 (Section 8AAA Championship)
