Fargo man pleads guilty to sexually abusing minor

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – A Fargo man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a minor.
26-year-old Aaron Cofell was charged with gross sexual imposition, endangerment of a child or vulnerable adult, simple assault and two drug-related charges.
Cofell pleaded guilty to gross sexual imposition and endangerment of a child at a change of plea hearing on Monday. The other three charges were dismissed.
Cofell was arrested in May during a traffic stop in West Fargo. He is scheduled to be sentenced on January 5, 2026.
Police say investigators worked with the Red River Children’s Advocacy Center and Sanford Care Clinic to provide medical and comprehensive services to the victim, who is under the age of 15.
