NP Parking Garage now open in downtown Fargo

FARGO — The City of Fargo is celebrating the opening of a new downtown parking garage.
The NP Parking garage, located at 602 NP Ave., is a collaboration between the city, Kilborn Group, the Downtown Community Partnership, and others.
It boasts 480 parking spaces, making it the largest parking garage in the city.
It will be connected to a new, mixed-use building that’s also being constructed.
That building will be the future home of the Fargo Community Theatre.
City officials say the addition of more parking spots in downtown will help businesses in the area.
“I think it’s going to be a very safe facility too,” said Strategic Funding Director Jim Gilmour. “There’s a lot of security cameras here. This one is a little locked down more than our others are, because you can only get in here with your vehicle and when you come back, you’re going to need this QR code that you’ve got so you can get back into the building.”
Drivers will be charged hourly rates to park in the garage during business hours, but it will be free to park there on evenings and weekends.
