Pride of Dakota returns to Fargo for its annual holiday showcase

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Food, jams, jewelry, home decor, and more. The 2025 Fargo Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase is back this year with hundreds of vendors from around the state.

“We just showcase so many amazing products in our state, and many of the North Dakota companies showcase some of the commodities in our state that we’re number one in like wheat and sunflowers,” said Katrina Hanenberg, Pride of Dakota specialist.

One company that presents flowers in its products is Badlands Hemp.

“We are a company we grow from seed outdoors, as you can see with the picture here. I do all the processing and harvesting myself. We made CBD oil, and that oil gets put into most of our products, all of our products. And we have a lot of local companies that make stuff for us,” said Shane Weber, Badlands Hemp from Taylor, ND.

Weber and his wife started the business five years ago. He says he’s now concerned about a law that would ban certain hemp products unless Congress acts before the law goes into effect.

“Most of our products would be illegal, and we’re just trying to help people. So, we have a year. Hopefully, something will happen by then. But if it takes effect a year from now, most of our products, even with just a tiny amount of THC, we’re not going to be able to sell them anymore,” said Weber.

Weber says he will be looking into having the products be THC-free, but it could take time and money to do so.

One business that does have everyone talking and bustling to get in line is for Wishek Sausage.

“It tastes wonderful with pancakes, eggs. When we get together for any of our holidays, we have a big breakfast we call it with the grandkids. And we always make sure we have Wishek sausage there,” said Mary Wilke, Attendee.

Each year, Wilke has come for Wishek sausage, and this year she got in early enough to get more.

Pride of Dakota continues tomorrow at the Scheels Arena.
