Students Prepare to Fill the Dome
The annual charitable event has been taking place since 2007. The location for the pick-up area this year is slightly different.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Local students are again gearing up to collect supplies and raise money for the vulnerable members of our community.
It’s almost time for the annual Fill the Dome event at the Fargodome.
It’s been taking place since 2007 and has collected 2.6 million pounds of food in that time.
This year, the Metro Area Student Ambassadors are hoping to raise $50,000 and serve roughly 1,000 people.
They say planning and organizing a community effort like this is a very rewarding experience.
“We have a passion for helping others,” explained Kinley Steckler. “It’s just a great way to help our community out. Even small things like donating a little amount of money can go such a long way for somebody’s life.”
“It’s been just such an awesome experience and something we’re so grateful we had the opportunity to be a part of,” added Lucy Schaffer.
If you’d like to participate, you have all of tomorrow and early Tuesday to drop off goods or donate money.
Distribution of the food will then take place in the West parking lot of the Fargodome on Tuesday from noon to 4 P.M.
