Jingle & Mingle Signals Opening of West Fargo Public Ice Rink
There were also a myriad of indoor activities for those who didn't want to be outside at The Lights.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The Scheels skating rink in downtown Fargo has now officially opened for the season – and, on Saturday, West Fargo followed suit with their own outdoor skating experience.
It was all part of the Jingle & Mingle event at The Lights.
The full-size hockey rink in the middle of Essentia Health Plaza saw a steady stream of skaters starting at 11 A.M.
Those who wanted to stay warm inside had options as well, including the Merry Makers Market and children’s craft stations.
West Fargo Events staff said the turnout was strong despite the chilly temperatures.
“It was a really good day, weather condition wise,” said Ashley Egger. “It’s always fun, the first opening day skate of the year. We captured our first skater on the ice. He was super excited. Yeah, just the continuing flow of people coming in to enjoy the free community event.”
One event at the rink that will certainly draw a lot of attention is the 2025 West Fargo Winter Classic, which is a 6-day hockey tournament featuring some of the best squads from North Dakota and Minnesota.
