Bail set at $2 million for Wisconsin man accused of shooting officer during traffic stop Sunday

SUPERIOR, WI (KVRR/KQDS) — The man accused of shooting a police officer before ramming his vehicle into Superior Middle School has bail set at $2 million.
28-year-old Dylan Wallace of Solon Springs, Wisconsin appeared in court on charges of attempted first-degree intentional homicide, domestic abuse, damage to property, and discharging a firearm on school grounds.
Wallace is accused of shooting a Superior Police Officer multiple times Sunday during an early morning traffic stop for a domestic dispute.
Two officers fired back and he was hit.
He then crashed his vehicle into the school and walked the halls with a weapon for four hours before he was taken into custody.
Wallace was taken to the hospital and then booked into jail.
The officer was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and later released.
“We all know that this is a reality of the job you know bullets travel just as fast in Superior, Wisconsin as they do in any other city in the country, um, the danger is there,” said Paul Winterschiedt the Superior Police Chief.
The involved law enforcement officers were placed on administrative leave during the investigation.
The middle school will continue at-home learning until Thursday.
