Horace Mann Elementary transition plan presented to school board

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The transition plan for students and staff at Horace Mann Elementary has been released.
During construction of the new $45 million school, students will attend class in either Washington, Roosevelt, or Madison Elementary Schools.
Roosevelt will serve students in third through fifth grade.
Madison will take students in kindergarten through second grade.
Washington will take in students in Kindergarten through fifth grade.
There will also be new attendance boundaries starting next fall.
“The main piece that we have here is that with Horace Mann closing we have students that will need a home for two years as we build the new building. And so we looked at many different options, um, I think it took us six different plans to come up with one that we’re we could have the students together,” said Missy Eidsness an associate superintendent.
A principal will be named before the winter break.
The new school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2028.
