Local foodies rejoice over opening of new Mexican restaurant, Maria’s

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Maria’s, located on 102 Broadway N, opened its doors on Tuesday for a soft opening.

While the restaurant itself is new, the food and its owners are no strangers to the Fargo community.

Originally known for their catering and pop-ups, the owners have been serving the community for over eight years.

Now with a storefront, they are featuring their customers’ favorite breakfast and lunch items such as papas con chorizo and burritos.

“I have a big family, we always gather for things, and it’s always surrounded by food, and we’re always welcoming people into the family, and so that’s what we’re doing. We believe this community is our family. This community has supported us in the most outstanding ways. From our highs to our very lows, and they’re the ones that brought us back up, and they’re the ones that brought us into this building,” said Maria Carpenter Ostos, Co-owner of Maria’s.

Maria’s restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm.
