South Fargo man accused of assaulting vulnerable adult in Fergus Falls

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KVRR/KFGO) — A south Fargo man is accused of assaulting a vulnerable adult at a group home in Fergus Falls.
Prosecutors say officers were called to the group home early Saturday morning.
The victim said they heard Akeem Smith, 29, banging things on the main floor and when confronted, the two began to argue.
The victim said they got mad and splashed some water on Smith, who pushed them down, put them in a headlock, kicked them, and stomped their chest.
The victim showed injuries consistent with the story.
Smith has been charged with 4th degree assault of a vulnerable adult, which is a gross misdemeanor.
