UPDATE: Sebeka, Minnesota man killed in Wadena County crash is identified

(UPDATE) Minnesota State Patrol has identified the man killed in a head-on crash on Monday morning in Wadena County.

They say 87-year-old Jerome Miller of Sebeka, Minnesota crossed the center line on Highway 71 and crashed into a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Benjamin Swain of Hewitt, Minnesota.

Miller was killed in the crash while Swain is being treated at Astera Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Roads were snow and ice covered at the time.

 

WADENA COUNTY, Minn. (KVRR) — One man is dead after a crash in Wadena County.

Minnesota State Patrol says a truck headed north on US HWY 71 when a car headed south, veered into the opposite lane around 6:45 this morning.

The driver of the car, an 87-year-old man from Sebeka, was killed in the crash.

The driver of the truck is a 60-year-old man from Hewitt and he was injured.

The crash report states the roads were snow and ice covered at the time.
