UPDATE: Police identify body found by the river in Grand Forks

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — Grand Forks Police identify a man found dead by the river.

Police say 34-year-old Brandon Ruth was found unresponsive on the Greenway area, south of the railroad bridge, after 2 p.m.

Ruth was found face down in the snow and officers say it was obvious he was dead so no life-saving measures were taken.

Police say they do not believe there is any threat to the public.
