Best of the Midwest Brings Cheerleading Excellence to Fargo-Moorhead
The event began at Scheels Arena in 2022, but has since had to move to the Fargodome due to the increase in its popularity.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The area’s biggest cheerleading competition brought teams from all over to the area’s biggest arena.
Best of the Midwest took place in the Fargodome on January 17.
The competition began at 8 A.M. and continued non-stop until 7 P.M., with a total of 237 separate performances.
That included cheerleading teams from various high schools all the way down to All-Star cheer squads with participants as young as 4 years old.
Event organizers said it was important for them to bring the competition to Fargo rather than always having to travel out of state.
“Being in our area of the country where you do typically have to travel for events, there are a lot of teams in our region that are like, ‘Hey, why don’t you come to us?'” said Brenna Lachowitzer, co-organizer of Best of the Midwest.
“It’s about bringing the opportunity for more events to the Fargo-Moorhead area.”
Best of the Midwest began at Scheels Arena in 2022, but recently had to relocate to the Fargodome due to the growth of the event.
