8 more prosecutors leaving Minnesota U.S. Attorney’s Office

MINNEAPOLIS (KVRR/KFGO) – Eight more prosecutors are in the process of leaving the Minnesota U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The departures come after six other prosecutors announced their intention to leave because of mounting pressure from Washington to investigate Renee Good’s widow. Good was shot and killed by an ice agent while she was in her vehicle on Jan. 7.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson announced his intention to resign last month.

The second wave of prosecutors includes Civil Division Chief Anna Voss. She was the point person for many wrongful detention petitions the office had been dealing with.
