Dr. Scott Jensen withdraws from race for governor of Minnesota and jumps into state auditor race

MINNEAPOLIS (KVRR/FOX9) — Dr. Scott Jensen announces that he is exiting his campaign for governor and instead will run for state auditor.
In a social media post, the Republican says “we need to declare war on waste, fraud and abuse” in Minnesota.
He also says it’s time to protect your paycheck.
Jensen was the GOP nominee for governor in 2022 but lost the race to Democrat Tim Walz.
He was a staunch supporter of the COVID-19 anti-vaccination movement.
Democrat Julie Blaha is the current state auditor and is not seeking a third term.
