WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The region’s biggest annual wrestling show returned to West Fargo, and this time, they were also raising money for a good cause.

Winterslam, put on by Below Zero Wrestling, took place at the Butler Machinery Arena on the Red River Valley Fairgrounds.

The action-packed show featured top local talent as well as former WWE stars.

A portion of the gate went to the local chapter of the Special Olympics, and there was also a free-will donation area for the organization.

Wrestlers said that supporting a cause like that made the performance that much more special.

“It makes everyone feel great,” said Jack Ledger, BZW’s SubZero champion. “It shows we’re not only having a great time, we’re also doing a great thing. We’re making people smile in many different ways, and that’s the main goal.”

Approximately 1,200 fans attended Winterslam.

BZW’s next Fargo show will be in May at the Sanctuary Events Center.
