FARGO, N.D. — People living in downtown Fargo are being urged to remove vehicles from streets tonight for snow removal.

Beginning at 2 AM Tuesday, any vehicles left on the north and south streets downtown will be impounded so that snow removal can be completed.

This area includes all streets between Second Avenue South and Seventh Avenue North from Second Street to University Drive.

People are encouraged to use parking ramps and surface lots to park during this time.

Parking on east and west Avenues will be legal overnight.

“Last night just as an example, we hauled one hundred and fifty seven truck loads and we impounded two vehicle so our goal is to impound zero. So if everybody could please bear with us and give us one night of reprieve on the streets, that would be greatly appreciated,” said Corey Houim of Fargo Public Works.

Public Works crews say the goal is to impound zero vehicles.
