LIVE: Moorhead Star Taye Reich Commits to Minnesota

STAR RUNNING BACK FOR THE MOORHEAD SPUDS COMMITS TO MINNESOTA FOOTBALL.

FARGO (KVRR) – Moorhead Spuds football star running back Taye Reich committed to the Minnesota Golden Gophers LIVE on KVRR Tuesday night.

Reich said, “After a lot of prayer, a lot of thought and conversation, I have decided that I’m going to be playing football at the University of Minnesota. So that’s where I will be continuing my academic and athletic future.” He added, “Well, first off, it’s my home state. I love Minnesota with all my heart. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else, and the culture that Minnesota has in their program is unmatched. I knew a very long time ago that that’s where I wanted to be. And Coach Fleck is a great coach. I love that guy. I love everybody in the staff and everybody else that is represented through Minnesota. And I love everything that they have to represent and what their standards are.

Taye Reich 2025 Stats: 225 rushes for 1,416 yards on the ground. He added 16 TD 32 receptions for 336 yds and 1 TD through the air. Reich helped lead Moorhead to the MSHSL Class 6A title game a junior.
