Update: Crews recover man from Red River

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – First responders have recovered a man from the Red River in Moorhead.

Authorities received a report that a person may have gone into the river at around 2:35 p.m. Monday.

Rescue crews and police from Fargo and Moorhead were on the scene. They were searching near the Main Avenue Veterans Memorial Bridge.

Fargo Police Lieutenant Matt Siders says the individual was seen walking on the ice before witnesses watched the person fall into the river. The person was recovered from the river shortly after 3:30 p.m. He was taken to a Fargo hospital in critical condition.
