Fire at OK Tire contained to pressure chamber

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – A fire inside a pressure chamber had multiple fire crews rushing to OK Tire in Fargo Thursday morning.
The call came in to 2224 Main Avenue just before 8 a.m. Battalion Chief Brad Bessette says the fire was contained to a pressure chamber in a shop.
“Small smoldering fire inside basically a pressure cooker that they finish the tires off in. It’s all contained, pressure’s dropping, the machine’s been shut down, and now they have to wait 24 hours minimum before they can open the door,” Bessette explained.
No one was hurt and damage was limited to the tires the employees were working on.
Eastbound traffic on Main Avenue was slowed for a short time as emergency personnel responded.
Fargo Police and Sanford Ambulance also responded to the scene.
