Northstar Coffee business gets new life with new owner

FARGO — It looks like a local coffee shop won’t be closing all of its doors after all.
At least not all of them.
Northstar Coffee was set to close all three of its locations, but the drive-up coffee chain will be keeping one of its locations running.
Northstar Coffee on 25th Street and Second Avenue South will remain open with a new owner.
Former manager Rachel Lien bought the business and will be renting the property that it sits on.
She says she loved working at the coffee shop and decided to try to keep the one location going.
“I really love the job. I’ve been here over five years and I’ve worked side by side with Jeanna pretty much the whole time I’ve been here, so I’ve learned everything that I know from her. I just love the customers and it’s just became a dream for me,” said new owner Rachel Lien.
The other two Northstar Coffee locations closed their doors for the last time on Tuesday.
