City of Fargo asks drivers to park off streets in downtown for snow removal

FARGO — Fargo is asking drivers to remove their vehicles from downtown city streets as they attempt to clean up what’s left of the snow.
Starting at 2 a.m. vehicles located in no-parking areas on downtown north and south streets will be asked to move.
This includes all streets between Second Avenue South and Seventh Avenue North from Second Street to University Drive.
East/west avenues will be legal to park on and downtown parking garages and surface lots will be available.
“Crews will be coming on in tonight and we’ll be focused on the downtown snow removal, which is the streets, the north south streets, and if folks could follow the parking restrictions, that would be greatly appreciated,” said Public Works Service Manager Corey Houim. “So that way the folks can get in there and get the street cleared from curb to curb and not go around any of the parked cars.”
He hopes this is the last time they’ll have to break out the snow plows this season.
