Family, friends, law enforcement search for missing Wahpeton man

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KVRR) –The search continues for a 73-year-old Wahpeton man who’s been missing since last week.
Alfred Odden was last seen at a Casey’s convenience store in Valley City on April 1. Odden suffers from dementia. A Silver Alert asking the public’s help in locating Odden was issued on April 2.
Odden was last seen wearing a purple zip up jacket with a letter “W” on the front and tan pants. He was driving a teal pickup Ford pickup with a red topper.
Odden’s son and some friends are searching in the Valley City and Jamestown areas.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is conducting aerial searches in Barnes & Stutsman Counties, according to Capt. Bryan Niewind.
Niewind says Barnes and Stutsman Counties will be the primary search areas. He says the weekend snow hampered the search.
Odden was seen on security video at Casey’s in Valley City at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. He made a call about 30 minutes later from Valley City.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Wahpeton Police or local law enforcement.
