Sen. John Hoeven says the conflict with Iran is necessary to help the people

WHEATLAND, N.D. (KVRR) — Following a social media post made by the president calling on Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, Sen. John Hoeven says this conflict was necessary.
Early this morning, President Trump posted to Truth Social a deadline of 8 pm.
He said, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.”
The U.S. has been in conflict with Iran for the past six weeks in this latest round.
We asked Hoeven what his thoughts were on the president’s language.
“The Iranian guard that rules that country now, they are oppressing their people, they’re killing their own people. So the whole objective here is to save people’s lives and end this 47 reign of terror by this terrible, oppressive Iranian regime,” said Sen. John Hoeven.
Hoeven went on to say that European countries need to step up in fighting back against Iran.
