Ouren Resigns as Head Girls’ Basketball Coach at Fargo North

Fargo North Girls’ Basketball Coach Derek Ouren has resigned from his position, the school announced in a press release on Wednesday.

Ouren had been on the sideline for the Spartans for the past seven seasons, reaching the state tournament twice and winning a State Championship in 2011.

The resignation comes less than a week after Fargo North Boys’ Basketball Coach Dan Shultis resigned his position.

Ouren will continue to serve as a Social Studies teacher at the school.
